While browsing old books, I found The Osterley Selection from the Latin Fathers, edited by Joseph Crehan and compiled in 1949 for seminarians at Campion College, Osterley. Its preface contrasts classical elegance with the fervent beauty of Christian prose. The book offers 42 short patristic readings. I propose a podcast reading each text in English, with brief commentary and the Latin. Today’s reading is from Tertullian.
